Pet Grooming and Boarding Services in Rahway, New Jersey

We offer a wide range of pet grooming services:
Baths, Brushing, Nail trimming, Ear cleaning, De-matting, Medicated baths, Anal gland expression, Basic trimming (non-breed specific), Short all-over cuts, and Medically necessary full body shaves.
We suggest that dogs and long haired cats be groomed and bathed every 4 to 6 weeks. Short hair cats require less maintenance and can be groomed less often. We specialize in grooming aggressive pets. A licensed veterinarian will administer sedation prior to grooming and your pet will then be monitored by our trained support staff. Like with all other sedated procedures prescreening blood work and EKG's is recommended prior to sedation.
Note: Sometimes while your pet is being worked on, the groomer might find something that will need a Veterinarian's intervention. For example, if an abnormality like an ear infection or skin infection is suspected, a veterinary examination is promptly given to confirm or rule out any suspicious signs of disease. If the attending veterinarian feels that treatment will be needed, you the pet owner will be contacted prior to treatment.
Update your pet's vaccinations:
While your pet is getting beautiful, you may want to make sure your pet is up-to-date on all vaccinations and yearly recommendations. We can conveniently bring your pet up-to-date during their grooming session so you won't have to take time out of your busy schedule to make a separate appointment
We board cats and small to medium sized dogs. A licensed veterinarian gives a each pet general physical exam at boarding drop-off as well as boarding pickup. Please let us know if you would like us to have any procedures such as a bath, dental cleaning, and/or surgical procedures while they are here.
Also please let us know if he/she has special food/diet/medication requirements. We will be glad to take care of all her needs while he/she is boarding with us. A special incentive that a lot of our clients are happy about is the fact that doctors are present in case of a medical problem. Clark Animal Hospital is not yet a 24 hour facility and does not offer overnight monitoring. In the event your pet requires overnight monitoring, your pet will be transferred to or referred to an overnight/24 hour Veterinary facility.
We require that your pet be current on vaccinations and preventive medicine so that chances of disease transmission are eliminated.
